Mesopotamia 3000 BC Lionness
Mesopotamia 3000 BC
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-K7PNw1_dw for viewing this little statue, especially at her back.
This ca. 10 cm high figurine of a female body with the head of a lioness is 5000 years old and comes from an area that is now Southeast Turkey, Northern Iran, Northeast Syria and Northern Iraq, it used to be called Mesopotamia. It belongs to the heritage of the Kurdish people of the regions and they named this little statuette “Div Sir”, “demon medication” and that is very meaningful…..
The Lion symbol stands for King,(like the lion is “king of the beasts”) royalty that reigns the kingdom but with the attitude of being in service to the collective. It also symbolizes the mental abilities, the “King” represents the clarity of a sound mind. Her being a lioness indicates “Wisdom” and that can only reside in the heart where no self-serving ego can enter but where the mental abilities serve and support the Wisdom of the Heart; the real royal power!
The body is of a strong, well developed muscular female and it emanates an energy of power and strength. The upper part of the body is set in a triangular form, the base is formed by the two arms that meet on the right hand side at the hands that seem to be in a position of “prayer”. The triangle represents the creative principle, the Trinity. The right hand side of our bodies are the “Yang” side that represent the manifesting quality, outward going energies, it uses the fire of purpose, focus. The twice five fingers symbolize integration of duality on ten levels of the Human Energy Field (aura) in order to enter the fifth dimension where we can know our Cause of being. This body posture intends to convey to the viewer that it is our own yang energy that needs to focus on the purpose of integrating in the self the levels of duality consciousness in order to re-unite with their own Cause of being in the 5th dimension and to learn about their life task while in a physical body.
Unconsciousness is here the “demon” or Div. “Sir” is the potion that is used to cure it: It implies a liquid substance as a metaphor for consciousness as Love as the cure for the “Demon” within, the unconsciousness. Divine Cause, the seat of the Soul in the body, i.e. Love consciousness. When that will be achieved it will also be manifested via the triangle formed by the arms of the lioness (Yin, Love), the Divine Cause, also being the Cause of mankind living in the dense realm of cause and effect, duality! As we have lost our Cause, the effects in the lower dimensions are very clear; our world does not seem to be based on Love……our world has the head of a Yang lion.
On the backside of “Div Sir” is shown how to realise the task of integrating the two energies of Yin and Yang within the self: at the base of the spine (tattoo Maori New Zealand ,, Egypt/turkey) there are four little holes in the shape of a diamond. The holes represent the consciousness “within” the individual, the consciousness that is inherent in all matter. Human consciousness has always been depicted in the symbol of a snake as living in the duality of the lower dimensions of Earth. The latter was represented by the Yin (female energy.
When we follow the consciousness up through Div Sir’s spine, it will have regained clarity and balance and the personality self has been integrated, represented by the rhombus, upward along the spine, we end at the top of the head where we see only two little holes. One would say: that is still duality but they represent the two Divine energies, the fire of Yang or purpose and the fire of Yin or Love. They really are One but got separated in the lower dimensions in ourselves. We could also call it Father and Mother God; yes, Mother God has always been here but history took her away from (most of )humanities awareness. There is evidence all over the world that humanity lived longer with the Knowledge of her existence than the period of time that we have lost that Knowledge about Her and that has come to an end at this time. For the veil that she wore through millennia of time because of the dominance of Yang energies and the choices of service to the ego, is lifted and her blocked energies on Earth are flowing again and they will bring back Love and Unity into the world. How significant is it then that “Div Sir” was made in a region where women have to wear a material veil nowadays to pay homage to the Divine?
6000 years ago this region had a vivid picture of the significance and the benefits that the Divine Yin bestowed upon the community and how important an individual’s atonement to their inner Yin was for the community as a whole. They knew that they owed their lives to Her Energetic Presence and that she was the life giving energy of the Father.
“Div Sir” is clearly another term for the Inner Teachings and taking the “potion” was supposed to heal the wounds of darkness that the individual had to drag along during his (unconscious) life. The little statuette refers to duality (legs), the “fire of consciousness” held in the spine, the creative intent of Yin manifesting on Earth represented by the two spirals at the back, 2×5 levels to reunite with Divine Yang and Divine Yin, Yang as right hand side of body, Yin as left hand side and Love as the creative impulse manifested by Yang.
We can also deduct something else; while the statuette is female it is called, “Div Sir” , devils potion, and at the time it was made it was meant as a positive distinction attributed to Yin (“female”) energies. With the rise of paternalism and monotheist religion that was soon about to change….and instead of the female principle bringing cure for the “fiery” Yang energies the negative connotation of “devil” was now linked to the female gender and taking it even further, with the passing of time and the rise of Yang dominated power, women were considered to be a dangerous species to men. Aristotle, who influenced the later developing Christian dogma’s, even labeled women as “failed men” and younger religions took that even further………………….
The Truth is though that this little figurine depicted the ideal human being, whether male or female was of no importance, as both genders are made up from the same polarity consciousness. Both sexes alike have to free themselves individually from their mind constructs that conceal their Essence, that is the “disease” that needs to be cured. The manufacturer of this beautifully carved lioness knew of all this but do we still know? The biggest mind construct needing to be cured is the belief that one sex is better or worth more than the other. This belief, a mind construct that prevents people from touching on their own inner Power, has caused much suffering and was the root cause of the other belief systems upon which cultures have been built and of further separation between human beings and the cultures they are a part of.
This early symbolic expression of the Truth about the Human Experience shows that the Lioness is not a powerless manifestation of the Yin principle in mankind. Any human being that uses the fire of the inner Yang forces to sustain and nourish the fire of the Heart (Yin) will be a fully empowered Human Being, the purpose of Divine Creation within the dimensions of duality consciousness. He or she will be awe-inspiring and live life to the fullest and add to the collective in the best way possible……
